The English Country Garden
It has been a long winter, and my thoughts are turning with the emergence of warmer weather, to the garden. This is a collection to celebrate the beauty of the garden in various media - wire, crystals, gemstones, polymer clay - anything that allows me to recreate my second passion - my garden! I have for you a few pictures of my own garden taken over the years - and some jewellery to match. If you fancy another look at the garden, try The East Coast Desi who featured it on her blog.
The lady in this beautiful art nouveau brass stamping imported from the USA looks like she is looking out of her window at the garden around her with a delicate yawn. Wire work surrounds the pendant, embellished with gemstones, Czech glass leaves and beads. The pendant, which is 3" in diameter is hung on a 22" long blue jade and jasper necklace with African Baule beads as accents, finished with an ornamental hook clasp.
My Lady d'Arbanville
An art nouveau brass stamping, imported from the USA is the centrepiece of this pendant. It is framed with non tarnish enamelled copper wire, twined and wound around the central 'lady' to give the appearance of rambling roses. The beads are ruby quartz, and a dyed red jade teardrop dangles from the end. The pendant comes on a red organza necklace, but you can pick another colour if you prefer. 3" x 2"
A beautiful bronze violet, embellished with tiny cubic zirconia and made in my kiln at Caprilicious is the pendant, carried on a 21" necklace of purple agate beads, interspersed with tiny gemstone beads - peridot, amethyst, green onyx and orange topaz, with a handmade wire clasp and a little bronze charm dangling from it. A versatile, graceful piece that you will be able to wear both day and night, and will love.
The pendant is a bronze flower made in my kiln, embellished with cubic zirconia and polished to a high shine. It is approximately3" in diameter and is carried on a string of the most beautiful agate druzy beads that have ben vapour coated with gold, silver and titanium and glint and glimmer in the light. The toggle clasp is made with non tarnish copper wire and accented with tiny seed beads, made at Caprilicious, as well as the little polymer clay and resin butterfly wing that dangles from the clasp, to prettify the back view of this necklace. The necklace is 22" long and will make you look and feel very special.
22" long, amethyst elongated needle nugget beads, set off by two carnelian and a pyrite bead and a handmade wire clasp carry a handmade bronze clay begonia flower pendant studded with purple cubic zirconia. Very pretty and unusual, you will love this piece of jewellery and be noticed when you wear it.
A little copper flower with two tiny purple cubic zirconia at the centre, made from copper clay in my kiln is carried on a 21" long necklace of Kiwi jasper - pale green with grey speckles. The green beads are set off by copper Bali beads and gold electroplated ceramic beads from Greece, and a handmade wire clasp.
