The pendant is a vintage Afghani piece, studded with glass, all the way from a vendor in Lahore. It is 2.8" long with a 2" long fringe that tinkles gently, being tethered by garlands of Czech glass beads and carnelian nuggets.
The pendant is carried by a necklace of sumptuous, waxy carnelian beads, howlite paisley shapes and dull gold lost wax cast beads. An ornamental hook clasp for closure. The necklace is 26" long, but can be shortened if you wish it closer to your neck.
Reminiscent of parties and gatherings, with poetry readings and song( the Persian word for this is Mehfil), peacocks treading carefully in the heat and dust - a mehfil of the best people, having a wonderful time.
