Romance and Flowers
Romance and Flowers is, as its name suggests, an intensely romantic and soulful piece of jewellery inspired by the beautiful tulips in the Keukenhof Gardens in Amsterdam. The focal point is a beautiful moonstone cabochon from Jaipur, radiating from which are little seed beads set out using a Japanese beading technique. Swirls, curlicues and paisley patterns bring intense bursts of colour, as do the little jade 'tulips' that dangle from the edge. I think the necklace looks best when it is sat close to the neck, and am happy to adjust the length to requirement. This necklace took many hours of beading, is extremely colourful, and will soon become a favourite piece of jewellery. It is backed with Ultrasuede and edged with tiny ruby coloured seed beads.dge of the necklace. A string of tourmaline quartz beads holds the embroidered piece with a toggle clasp on the back that has two extensions, allowing for 2-3" if required.
