I’m Neena Shilvock, jewellery designer by passion, obstetrician and gynaecologist by profession, and lifelong devotee of colour, texture, and a well-placed bit of whimsy. I live in Warwickshire with my lovely husband Michael — who moonlights as Caprilicious Jewellery’s meticulous packing-and-posting department — and our cat Wilfred, who believes himself to be Head of Quality Control.
Caprilicious began more than a decade ago as a creative escape from the intensity of medicine. Somewhere along the way, it blossomed into something far bigger: a joyful, ever-evolving adventure in painting with beads, gemstones, fibres, wire, and the occasional unexpected oddity that whispers, “Take me home and make me fabulous.”
I lead what I affectionately call a happy schizophrenic existence — shuttling between the delivery suite and the bead mat, scrubbing out of theatre, only to scrub back into my stash of sparkly things. It keeps me sane, balanced, and endlessly inspired.
The women who wear Caprilicious are my muses: bold, creative souls who aren’t afraid of a dash of drama or a splash of colour. They understand the alchemy of pairing raw silk with gemstones, wood with silver, or the irresistible twinkle of a druzy. Many have become dear friends over the years, whether met at exhibitions in the UK and India or in serendipitous corners of the world. My work now travels everywhere from Mumbai to Martinique, and nothing delights me more.

As a small business, everything here is personal. I design, string, embroider, photograph, catalogue, upload, package, and post each piece myself from my studio in Warwickshire. No factories, no assistants, no production lines — just me, my tools, my imagination, and a very patient husband who helps with the parcels.
