Encounters in Stone
This is a very simple necklace - yet very sophisticated and elegant.
It is made of spectacular slices of wild, natural agate, in shades of grey, black and white with the odd one running an orange-brown streak through it. The slabs have been smoothed out and rounded off so that there are no jagged edges and tiny coral and turquoise beads between them.
The focal bead is a handmade double-sided element with colour, texture and design at its centre point. I made it many years ago at a workshop and it has waited over five years for a chance to shine, and it certainly does! The smooth red, gold and inky blue in this bead set off the rough and rugged agate to perfection and you will love the fact that it is a one-off, and no one else but you will have one like it!
22" long, finished off with labradorite beads at the back and a toggle clasp.
