The Desert Rose formation in the beads of this piece is millions of years old. Excavated and cut into beads, they will be the talk of any gathering you wear the necklace to. Desert Roses are wrought by compacted sand over many years, cut into ledges by nature and forced into beautiful rock formations that resemble the petals of a rose - and then cut by bead makers so they can be worn in jewellery. (In case someone is wondering - they do not dissolve in water - I have tried!)
The blue quartz chunks are also beautiful and together, the beads make an arresting and imaginative piece which you will love wearing.
The larger beads are supported by little faceted haematite and ceramic squares, both electroplated in silver and a toggle clasp.
