Hello, lovely people, it's great to connect with you again. I've been busy organising an end of year barbecue for the people who work with me and was pleasantly and happily exhausted from the effort of pulling it togther. It has been a couple of years since the last one because of the pandemic and we were determined to enjoy ourselves - and we did! Music and the sound of laughter mingled with the smell of barbecued meat in the air and for one night we forgot all about the dreadful time we've had recently and had a great evening.

The 'pingdemic' caused a shortage of food and drink in the supermarkets due to problems with the supply chain and I was forced to shop for the party on three separate occasions so that I could collect enough food for twenty people. The toilet rolls had all been taken, as well - I don't understand the need to stock up on loo rolls that we have in this country when there's a crisis, what's that all about?

Anyway, the long and short of it is that I didn't have too much time left over for Caprilicious between putting in a days work and an evenings shopping, so all I have to show for the week is a pair of earrings.

I took some time out to rest up after the party and as the sun was shining, we drove down to Stratford upon Avon to have a stroll around the shops and walk along the river.

My regular 'model' had come up to the party and we decided to take some pictures that were a bit different to the ones we have done in the past. A fun day was spent pampering ourselves with facial masks and long rejuvenating soaks in a bath, followed by playing with make up and photography.

And finally, total exhaustion set in, once we had about one hundred and twenty five photographs on the camera.

I will post more of these pictures on Instagram and the Caprilicious Facebook page over the next few weeks.
That's me for this week, folks. Have a great week and I'll catch you next Friday, same time, same place.
Until then

I love the editorial quality of the last picture. I can easily see it in a Vogue spread.

Thanks Divya, both of us enjoyed the photoshoot - I have loads of pictures and they will dribble through over the coming days

Hello! I’m Neena Shilvock, and I’m utterly, cheerfully, incorrigibly besotted with jewellery.
What began over twelve years ago as a harmless creative escape has blossomed into a full-scale romance with beads, colour, texture, and all things fabulously statement-y. I design and handcraft quirky, characterful necklaces—the sort that refuse to whisper and much prefer to make an entrance. The passion hasn’t faded in the slightest. If anything, it’s grown legs. I even dream in beads.
    Truly.
This blog is my little corner of the internet where I share new creations hot off the bead mat, the stories and inspirations behind them, the occasional styling ramble, and a generous sprinkling of wry humour. If you’re someone who delights in bold colour, craftsmanship, and a good chuckle, then you’re very much my tribe. Do say hello—it might just be the start of a rather lovely friendship.
