Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
All is well.

He was my baby brother - I was with him this time last year, but will never be again. It hurts to think that life goes on - but it does - the risk of love is loss, and the price for loss is pain - but both happen, and the world has to be a better place for it. I dedicate this weeks blog to Amar - only time can dull my pain.

Hi Neena!
Echoes my thoughts a lot. I do think of him almost everyday especially when I come across some words or jokes that I feel he would have liked and can almost sense his smile.
We have all of us so many happy memories of him that it seems strange and unreal to have a deafening silence when his name is brought up so unlike the noise that always went with him.
